Power Strip or Surge Protector?

• A power strip is a device that allows you to plug multiple electronics into one wall socket.
• A surge protector acts as a powerstrip while also protecting your computer or other electronics from a power surge (a significant increase in electrical voltage).

You should definitely use a surge protector with your computer since it’s filled with voltage-sensitive components that a power surge could easily damage. At the least, this damage will shorten the life of your computer.
