Be suspicious if you get a call that claims to be a relative or friend of a relative asking for emergency money for bail, medical treatment, or travel expenses. The fraud can play out in many ways, but the hustle is the same: The scammer tries to scare you and rush you to pay so you won’t have time to check things out before you send money. Don’t fall for it!
